![]() Our 2011 summer camp weeks are:
Camp is held Monday through Friday, from 9:30-3:30. Our goal is to create a fun camp week that is also educational. The children will learn about horses in a "hands-on" atmosphere that is not just about learning to horseback ride, but also about farm life and animal care. A big priority here is teaching children respect for living things and the out-of-doors. Horses raise great kids, assisted by the fresh air and green space! Our Summer Riding Programs are open to ages 6-16. Children should pack snacks (2), a lunch, at least 2 bottles of water, long pants or riding pants and riding boots or sturdy shoes with a heel, sunscreen and insect repellent. Helmets are required and we will supply them if you do not have one of your own. An active day is planned for the children. Activies include: daily English riding instruction, a driving lesson in a horse-drawn buggy, games on horseback, stable management classes, horse care activities, learning about the parts of the horse and equipment and their care, and much, much more. A visit from the blacksmith, veterinarian, and horse dentist also may be scheduled in during certain weeks! Assumption of risk and general release form |
