![]() We at Villa Stables were very saddened to lose one of our owners, Nancy Young, in December. Please click here for some remembrances of Nancy. Nicholas mother, Señora Eulalia Villa, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. Thanks to all NVS friends and family for your tremendous support, comfort and prayers, particularly during the UPHA Chapter 14 Spring Premiere Horse Show. Nicholas traveled to Mexico after the horse show and spent a week with his family, and toted Sam along much to the enjoyment of his Abuelo. Shop til you drop! Pam Cullis has opened Zias. Set in a beautiful storefront in Stonington Borough, the NVS contingent has been wearing a path to the door to purchase Zias adorable acessories, handbags and hats. If were well-accessorized, its all because of Pam and Zia (Meeeeeeeeeow)! Welcome Rocky! We are fostering an American Saddlebred gelding that was rescued from a killer pen by friends of saddlebredrescue.com. Nealia McCracken from Northwind Stables (with the urging of her co-hort Pat Johnson) saved him, and found he was young, expressive, and talented with his legs, but very very frightened when asked to work. Rocky needed an experienced, patient horse trainer to foster him and re-start him as though he were a baby. When she posed it to Nicholas, he immediately agreed to take him. We hope to bring you the diary of Rocky right here at villastables.com. He is doing great, gaining weight, getting in better overall health, and starting his lessons. Mentally he is sweet, interested in people and easy to get along with. Watch for more news and updates on him soon. 2006 Louisville Seen and "Herd"...
